I am currently the Peer to Peer Fundraising Specialist and Data Analyst at Eventage. In this role, I work on our cause-focused events with fundraisers to guarantee that they are hitting their fundraising goals. The particular program I am focused on raises funds to support Columbia's Herbert Irving Comprehensive Cancer Center and their research dedicated to solving cancer. My background in global health began as an intern with LIG Global in 2017. I assisted in a variety of programs in a behind the scenes role. I managed the operations of our Community Garden project in Appalachia, served as the Youth Network Coordinator for our trip to Dominican Republic, and provided logistical support and translation services in Peru. From there, I began my studies at NYU where I worked with an organization called Mission: Restore which focused on training surgeons throughout Africa to improve surgical outcomes. At Mission: Restore I was responsible for maintaining relationships with our key stakeholders and constituents, I conducted thorough data analysis to help strengthen our programs, and organized the 2019 Africa Regional Training program. I am happy to say that these experiences led me back to LIG Global, where I hope to grow our organization and strengthen our impact on the communities we serve.

"What motivates me is knowing that I am in a position where I can and should make the world a better place for all people regardless of where they are born. I feel that I am so lucky to have been born into the family I was born into, and for the life that I have lived so far. I know that with my education and my passion for helping others, working with LIG Global to improve lives of those living in the most vulnerable of circumstances is something I know I can truly make a widespread impact on. I always tell people when they ask me why I work with nonprofit organizations, I say "I want to leave this world a better place than I found it."
"2017- Cervical Cancer Screening Program in Peru with LIG Global 2017- Managed the Youth Volunteers at the Special Needs School in Dajabon, Dominican Republic with LIG Global 2016- Interned at a school for children with mental illnesses and disabilities in Valencia, Spain 2015- Traveled to Thailand with International Student Volunteers and completed a community development program in the Chiang Mai Province"
My goal is to help grow LIG Global into an organization that is used by other nonprofits as an example for what sustainability looks like. If we can successfully implement sustainable programming across all the communities we serve, we will hopefully give them all the tools and resources needed to thrive without any assistance.
