In the month of July, LIG Global would like to recognize one of our dedicated volunteers of many years: Patti Newman.

A mother of 2 and grandmother of 3, Patti is an individual who is not only devoted to helping care for her family but also for those in need. As a medical professional for 47 years, Patti has been able to play a vital role in tending to the health of patients on a daily basis. However, Patti’s devotion to service for others goes beyond her already impactful roles as a mother, grandmother, and healthcare professional. Having been on a total of 10 medical service trips, it goes without saying that Patti is a selfless and dedicated member of the LIG Global team.

Patti discovered LIG Global while on a medical mission trip in the Philippines with one of LIG Global’s partner organizations, Marion Rose World Mission. On this trip, she met Dr. Ernani Sadural, LIG Global founder and current Chief Medical Officer. Additionally, current CEO of LIG Global, Dr. Claudine Sylvester, whom Patti worked with for 4 years, invited Patti on a medical service trip with LIG Global to Dajabón, Dominican Republic. “I was hooked after my first mission,” explained Patti who returned to Dajabón for a total of 3 trips and a total of 7 to the Philippines with LIG Global and Marion Rose World Mission. Patti says that she felt compelled to continue volunteering with LIG Global because of the evident dedication to the organization’s mission to help those in need.

“LIG is a family [and] I am extremely grateful and honored to be included in this family,” states Patti.

LIG Global is equally grateful to have Patti as a member of our team for so many years and we thank her for her valuable contributions to our mission in the past, present, and future!
