LIG Volunteer Spotlight: Jennifer Graf
The LIG Global team is composed of a variety of talented and passionate individuals – one of them being Dr. Jennifer Graf. In the month of July, we take time to highlight her experiences professionally, personally, and as a dedicated member of the LIG Global family.
Dr. Graf attended medical school at University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey School of Osteopathic Medicine, before completing her residency at St. Barnabas Medical Center, specializing in obstetrics/gynecology. Since then, Dr. Graf joined a private practice with Contemporary Women’s Care in which she offers her talents to serving her patients in their women’s health journeys, specializing in minimally invasive surgeries. This includes hysterectomies, myomectomies, and oophorectomies.
While Dr. Graf is certainly a talented physician, when the white coat comes off, she is also a loving mother and wife, who enjoys spending time with her family and friends. She is passionate about exercise and one could even find her leading an exercise class at The Bar Method in her hometown! This is something that makes LIG Global volunteers so special! Not only are our volunteers incredible physicians, nurses, and more, but they have so many talents outside of their work life as well.
Dr. Graf’s service to others has been exhibited in her role as a physician, mother, wife, and even fitness class instructor; it comes as no surprise that she would be a perfect fit in the LIG community. After completing volunteer work in Haiti and being moved by her experiences there, Dr. Graf began to search out more opportunities to get involved with medically-focused service work abroad. That is when her partner, Dr. Ernani Sadural, a member of LIG’s Board of Directors, introduced her to LIG and the rest is history!
Since then, Dr. Graf has participated in various trips with LIG Global, contributing her talents as a physician with her compassion and warmth for patients to make meaningful impacts on the communities she encounters.
Upon reflection of her experiences with LIG, Dr. Graf stated, “It has been a privilege to be able to volunteer my time and work with other doctors in providing quality medical expertise to some underserved areas and youth communities in different countries.”
LIG has found its experiences to be enriched by having Dr. Graf present and we thank her for her dedication to the organization!
