LIG Global foundation team visits Gynius
Dr Ernani and Surya Kuchimanchi- founding members along with of LIG Global Foundation visited Gynius, makers of Gynocular which is the world’s first portable handheld colposcope. LIG plans to use the Gynocular in its cervical cancer prevention programs worldwide. Needless to say, this will increase the detection of cervical cancer in the many remote areas that of LIG Global Foundation holds its medical camps.
LIG Global Foundation wishes to thank the Gynius leadership for a wonderful meeting. The team enjoyed the beauty of Stockholm and the hospitality of the Swedish people.
This year as Dr Ernani Sadural and Kristopher Bridges compete in the IronMan Maryland 2014, they honor the Late Dr Bob Dorian for his exemplary humanitarian work with LIG Global Foundation. This grueling race will test each athlete’s strength and endurance as they power through 2.4 miles of swimming in the Chop Tank River, 112 miles of biking, and a full marathon run in Cambridge, Maryland.Support them through the race by donating even as little as 50 cents a mile- every dollar will be given to the Dr. Robert Dorian Memorial Volunteer Fund and will be matched by the participants themselves. Started by the Board of Directors of LIG Global Foundation, this fund financially assists volunteers to go on medical trips around the world with LIG.The Fund is named in honor of the Late Dr. Robert Dorian who exemplified the generosity, altruism and humanism that is present in all volunteers.
The goal of the fund is to support those who cannot pay for the medical trips and enable them to attend. Every dollar donated to the Iron Man participants will help achieve this goal.

LIG Global Foundation’s Annual Fund Raising Dinner Dance- 10th May 2014
LIG Global Foundation would like to thank everyone for their support at this weekend’s annual fund-raising dinner dance!
This was our first combined event with our friends at the Marian Rose World Mission – their incredible hard work resulted in an incredible evening!
We were able to share with our friends, fellow volunteers, donors and supporters stories and photos of the work that has been done as well as look ahead to our future projects. We remembered (with tears and laughter) our dear friend, Dr. Bob Dorian with his loving family who were also in attendance. We were able to introduce our LIG/Marian Rose families to some of the groups and people with whom we collaborate and who have supported us throughout the years.
Congratulations again to our three honorees: Mr. Leo Alquiros, Mrs. Lucille Savellano-Remus and Dr. John Bonamo. You truly represent the diverse contributions that have come together to allow us to work and grow as a charitable medical organization.
The best part – the love in the room was palpable. We feel very blessed to be able to work with the kind and loving and incredibly generous people who support us.
Thank you all – we are looking forward to another year of hard work and true love.

LIG Global Foundation and the Marian Rose World Mission are delighted to announce the official launching of our Cervical Cancer Prevention Program (CECAP) clinic based in St. Paul’s Hospital in Iloilo City, Philippines. In partnership with the Master Trainers from The Cancer Institute/Philippines General Hospital in Manila, local Iloilo GYN Oncologist, Dr. Maria Lora Tupas, and local Iloilo OB/GYNs Dr. Ruth Jink Aposaga and Dr. Gay LaValle, we officially opened our doors January 7th, 2014. Our clinic is a Public/Private partnership in which any woman can be screened and treated free of charge using the Single Visit Approach (SVA) of VIA/Cryotherapy championed and disseminated by Johns Hopkins JHPIEGO in developing countries throughout the world. It is our hope that we will become a center for excellence in SVA in the Iloilo region and serve as a training center for the entire region. Many thanks to all of our supporters who helped make this dream a reality as we fight to prevent women dying needlessly from cervical cancer.
